FELIX Kitten Factor Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions shall apply to the 'Felix Kitten Factor' promotion that will be available from the website with the domain catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief.
  2. This competition is open to residents of the UK, CI and IoM aged 18 or over, excluding employees and their immediate families of Purina PetCare (UK) Ltd., its agents or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
  3. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of their participation in the Promotion. Providing invalid details will result in disqualification.
  4. The promotion shall commence on 2nd April, 2009 and shall run until 28th June, 2009.
  5. A "Participant" is defined as follows: anyone who completes the following details in the 'Registration' and 'Upload' areas. Providing invalid details will result in disqualification. They must also submit their own 'photo’ of their kitten. Suspicion of submitting material that doesn't belong to the participant, will result in disqualification.
  6. By taking part in the campaign, the Participants automatically agree to the Terms & Conditions that apply for this promotion.
  7. To enter The Felix Kitten Factor search - upload a photo of your kitten to www.catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief and tell us why he/she has the ‘Felix Kitten Factor’ in 50 words or less. Alternatively you can post your entry to ‘Felix Kitten Factor’ Clarion Communications, The Griffin Building, 83 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5AR. Entries will be judged based on the mischievousness of their kitten (fun, mischievous, independent, cheeky, playful, full of surprise, will be depicted by photograph and written description).
  8. The panel of judges will include an independent judge.
  9. Material, submitted name of ‘kitten’, ‘location’ and ‘Reasons why Your Kitten is Mischievous’ may not be of any explicit sexual, political or racist nature, contain brand names, inappropriate (swear) words, telephone numbers or other website addresses. Material, submitted of cats may not show any kitten or other animal, including humans being harmed, harming itself or in harms way. All such entries will automatically be disqualified and will not appear on the website. Participants submitting information that is disqualified will not be explicitly notified of the disqualification.
  10. Disqualification of any entry is subject to the discretion of Purina PetCare.
  11. At its own discretion Purina PetCare will have the right to refuse or remove uploaded content, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decisions.
  12. Purina PetCare reserves the right to exclude submissions that it believes to be fraudulent.
  13. Every time a Participant submits Material, including valid Details, he/she will have a chance to win the Promotion. There is no limit to the number of times a Participant can enter the Promotion.
  14. All submitted written material will be automatically edited by Purina PetCare to give the Material the 'look-and-feel' of the Promotion before it is uploaded on to the website.
  15. It is a condition of entry that winners will grant the promoter an exclusive right for Purina PetCare to use their entries for any or all marketing purposes for a period of five years from the submission of their entries, without reward or recompense other than the award of the prize.
  16. The winner of the Felix Kitten Factor will win 92 x 12 x 100g Felix Multi-Packs. This is a year’s supply of Felix food based on the average consumption per cat as determined by the Promoter. The winner will also receive the prize of having their kitten photo on Felix Multi packs.
  17. 11 Runners up will be selected by a panel of judges for the Felix Kitten Factor and they will receive 23 x 12 x 100g Felix Multi-Packs. This is a three month supply of Felix food based on the average consumption per cat as determined by the Promoter.
  18. No cash alternatives or other alternative prizes are available.
  19. All entrants must have a kitten under one year or the owner must be able to supply an image of their cat as a kitten which is suitable to be used on Felix Kitten food packaging. The suitability of the image will be decided by Purina PetCare (UK) Ltd.
  20. The winner and runners up may be required to participate in publicity.
  21. The winner and runners up will be notified in writing within 28 days of the competition closing.
  22. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post. Proof of posting does not constitute proof of delivery.
  23. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed or corrupted when uploaded online. Proof of entry does not constitute proof of receipt.
  24. £1 for every entry will be donated by Purina to Cats Protection, Registered Charity 203644 (England and Wales) and SC037711 (Scotland).
  25. Participants warrant that when submitting Material no intellectual, property or other right of any third party will be infringed. Participants shall hold Purina PetCare free and harmless from any claims, costs, actions, suits and/or damages resulting from infringement or alleged infringement of any right of any third party arising out of the submission of Material and/or the use thereof.
  26. Purina PetCare reserves the right to request written proof of residency and age of any winner before the prize is dispatched.
  27. The address details submitted by the winner are deemed to have been submitted by the authorised user of the e-mail address. Purina PetCare will store the provided information for the purposes of carrying out this promotion.
  28. Purina PetCare is not responsible for network, computer hardware or software jamming or outages of any nature which restrict, slow down or cause the loss or the participant's form or other data.

  31. All decisions issued by Purina PetCare in respect to this promotion shall be final and shall not be subject to appeal.
  32. The promoter retains the right to alter the present terms of entry in the interests of the entrant, with no less than 28 days notice, to be posted on the website.
