Felix Factor Promotion

  1. These Terms and Conditions shall apply to the 'Felix Factor' promotion (hereinafter: "Promotion") that will be available from the website with the domain catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief (hereinafter "Website").
  2. This competition is open to all UK, C.I. and I.o.M residents, excluding employees and representatives of Purina PetCare (UK) Ltd and The Sun.
  3. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of their participation in the Promotion. Participants can only participate in the country where they live. Providing invalid details will result in disqualification.
  4. The promotion shall commence on 27 March, 2008 and shall run until 30th April, 2008 (hereinafter: “Promotional Period”)
  5. A "Participant" is defined as follows: anyone who completes the following details in the 'Registration' and 'Upload' areas. Providing invalid details will result in disqualification.
  6. And submits their own 'photo' (hereinafter: "Material"). Suspicion of submitting Material that doesn't belong to the participant, will result in disqualification.
  7. Participants should agree to comply with the Terms & Conditions that apply for this promotion, by checking the "Opt-in" box in the submission screen.
  8. Material, submitted name of ‘cat’, ‘location’ and ‘Reasons why Your Cat is Mischievous’ may not be of any explicit sexual, political or racist nature, contain brand names, inappropriate (swear) words, telephone numbers or other website addresses. Material, submitted of cat may not show any cat or other animal, including human being harmed, harming itself or in harms way. All such entries will automatically be disqualified and will not appear on the website. Participants submitting information that is disqualified will not be explicitly notified of the disqualification.
  9. Disqualification of any entry is subject to the discretion of Purina PetCare and The Sun.
  10. Purina PetCare and The Sun will always have the right to refuse or remove uploaded content. It is not possible to correspond with Purina PetCare and/or The Sun about their respective decisions.
  11. Purina PetCare reserves the right to exclude submissions that prove to be fraudulent.
  12. Every time a Participant submits Material, including valid Details, he/she will have a chance to win the Promotion. There is no limit in submitting Material.
  13. All submitted Material will be automatically edited by Purina PetCare and/or The Sun to give the Material the 'look-and-feel' of the Promotion.
  14. By submitting Material, Participants automatically relinquish all the copyright of the Material. Purina PetCare will become the material owner and may redistribute the Material in any way without notifying the Participant.
  15. Participants warrant that when submitting Material no intellectual, property or other right of any third party will be infringed. Participants shall hold Purina PetCare and/or The Sun free and harmless from any claims, costs, actions, suits and/or damages resulting from infringement or alleged infringement of any right of any third party arising out of the submission of Material and/or the use thereof.
  16. Purina PetCare reserves the right to request written proof of residency and age of any winner before the prize is dispatched.
  17. The address details submitted by the winner are deemed to have been submitted by the authorised user of the e-mail address. Purina PetCare will store the provided information.
  18. Purina PetCare is not responsible for network, computer hardware or software jamming or outages of any nature which restrict, slow down or cause the loss or the Participant's form or other data.
  19. For name and county of the winner and details of their winning entry, send an SAE to Purina PetCare.

  21. All decisions issued by Purina PetCare and The Sun in respect to this Promotion shall be final and shall not be subject to appeal.

Prize Information

  1. This competition is open to all UK, C.I. and I.o.M residents, excluding employees and representatives of Purina PetCare (UK) Ltd and The Sun.
  2. No purchase necessary. To enter The Felix Factor search - upload a photo of your cat to www.catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief and tell us why he/she has the ‘Felix Factor’ in 50 words or less. Alternatively you can post your entry to ‘Felix Factor’ Clarion Communications, The Griffin Building, 83 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5AR.
  3. The winner of the Felix Factor will have a choice of one of two holidays to either Turkey or Dordogne, a Canon DC201 digital DVD camcorder and a year’s supply of Felix food based on the average consumption per cat as determined by the Promoter.
  4. The winner can choose from a holiday in either:
    a) An adventure break in Turkey, which includes return flights from London Gatwick, airport transfers, 7 nights hotel accommodation with breakfast and a full programme of activities (canyoning, mountain village excursion, scuba diving and sea kayaking).
    b) Rustic retreat in the Dordogne, including a channel crossing for one car, 7 nights exclusive hire of a Gite and £250 spending money.
  5. The Turkey holiday is valid for 2 adults and 2 children aged 3-12 (however children must be aged at least 10 to go scuba diving). It is valid for travel until the end of October 31st 2008 and again in June 2009.
  6. The Dordogne trip is valid for a family of 4 with no age restrictions. It is valid for travel until December 31st 2008.
  7. The prizes are not redeemable during Easter and bank holidays and subject to availability at the time of booking.
  8. No cash alternative or other alternative prize is available except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the promoter the prize will only be available to the winning entrant.
  9. It is the winner's responsibility to ensure they have valid passports and travel insurance for the trip.
  10. 12 Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges for the Felix Factor and they will receive a framed picture of their cat and a three month supply of Felix food of their choice based on the average consumption per cat as determined by the Promoter.
  11. The winner of the Felix Factor will be selected by a panel of judges and a representative from The Sun.
  12. The winner will be judged based on the mischievousness of their cat. (fun, mischievous, independent, cheeky, playful, full of surprise, will be depicted by photograph and written description).
  13. The promotion with The Sun will close on April 30th 2008 and the winner will be announced in The Sun on May 12th 2008.
  14. The winner and finalists may be required to participate in publicity.
  15. The winner and finalists will be notified in writing within 28 days of the competition closing.
  16. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post. Proof of posting does not constitute proof of delivery.
  17. It is a condition of entry that the terms of entry of this promotion are accepted as final. Your statutory rights are not affected.
